3 Dads Walking 2025 Ynys Môn/Anglesey Day 4 – Sea Zoo to Aberffraw

From Sea Zoo, we dropped onto the beach and carried on west along the Menai Strait, treated to views of Caernarfon and its magnificent castle. Soon we were inland at Dwyran, tackling stepping stones the size of small cars (only one of us fell in!).

The coast called us back at Newborough, with its stunning pine forest leading to a white sand beach — simply beautiful. After lunch, we came across a full film crew hard at work on “something secret” (a quick Google tells us it’s House of the Dragon).

At Malltraeth, The Joiners pub kindly invited us in for warm drinks — much appreciated on such a wet, drizzly day. We finished at Artism in Aberffraw, a truly special place where Brin has created a peaceful space for people to relax, talk, and create art. If you ever visit Anglesey, we’d highly recommend it.

Although our route today was rural, people still came out to wish us well, donate, and share their own stories. Heartbreakingly, we met more suicide-bereaved parents — a reminder that suicide doesn’t discriminate.

Every day reinforces why we walk: to introduce more people to PAPYRUS and encourage those struggling to reach out, not face their problems alone.
